Hello, Brockbank Families!

We have had a busy couple of weeks and we appreciate all that has been done for our school! Our PTA has been such a support to us and we love the many volunteers that have helped with the wonderful Halloween Carnival, the Book Fair, The Book Fair Event, and SEP dinners! We also want to thank our great staff that has worked so hard, contributing to these activities as well! Red Ribbon Week was a big hit and we were able to talk about many ways we can get a natural high! We are so fortunate to have such a great school, as Brockbank!

MAKE A CONNECTION

We are learning more and more that we are losing connections with our youth! With texting, social media and such, we are losing some of the face to face interactions and conversations that are so vital to the development of our children! Each week I hope to add just a small reminder to make a connection with your child! Every little connection you make with your child helps him/her build a foundation of emotional, mental, physical and social stability.

This week's connection: Share a game that you enjoyed playing as a child. Did you like to play card games or board games? Take some time to play a game with your child!

MATH LAB

We are starting up our Math Lab in the mornings, before school! We have two tutors that will be here at 8:30 to help any students that need help with math concepts, assignments, and homework. The Math Lab is in the library and all students are welcome to come!

LOVE AND LOGIC Parenting Workshops

There will be Love and Logic Parenting Workshops, (three for the full course) November 5th, 12th and the 19th. Please check the attached flier with this bulletin for more information.

How Stress is Changing the Teenage Brain-Parenting Presentation by Christy Kane

In this presentation, Christy Kane, talks about the difficulties teens face in today's complex social media world as they sort through the journey of progress versus perfection. This lecture will be held November 18th, at 7:00 pm, at Spanish Fork Highs School. See the attached flyer for more information.
