Hello, Brockbank Families!

We hope you had a great Valentine's Day! It was fun for the students and always a great time to send the message of love and kindness to everyone!

Lifetouch Studios will be here to take Spring Pictures on THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 21ST, not Friday, February 22nd, as formally announced. Your child should have brought home a packet with information. There are more packets available in the office if you should need one.

We are excited for our Service Learning Project that our Kid Power Committee has put together for Brockbank! Our school is raising money for the Wounded Warriors Project. Our goal is to earn $2000.00! Sixth Grade had the heaviest can last week, weighing in at 12 pounds. All the cans from all the grade levels equaled 36 pounds total! We hope that this is a great beginning to earning our $2000.00! Thanks so much for your support!

We are thrilled to announce the 4 students that are advancing to the Science Fair Regional Competition. They are Elizabeth Peterson, Porter Olsen, Emmett Burns and Kaylee Hales! Good luck to each of these fine students! They will represent Brockbank well!

Stakeholder's Survey

Parents, you should be receiving an email from the district that has a link to the Stakeholder's Survey. This survey helps us celebrate the great things our teachers and staff are doing! We have wonderful teachers and the positive feedback helps us all feel good about what we are doing, here at Brockbank. We also appreciate your concerns as parents, and can learn where we can improve to make Brockbank the BEST! I would also suggest that if you do have concerns to please come in and visit with me about them. It's always nice to know the reasoning and concerns that we may not see as parents do.

Kindergarten Registration Update

There has been a change with Kindergarten Registration! We will NOT be having an early pre-registration for kindergarten as we have in the past. Kindergarten Registration will be at the same time as our regular registration for all students that is normally done in the summer. More information with this announcement will be coming.

Please keep collecting your BOX TOPS! Bring them in to help our school out!

Unplug and Connect-How Electronics Impact the Human Brain

Parents, I want to let you know about a special presentation by Dr. Christy Kane, that will be held several times, throughout our district. Dr. Kane has done research on the neurological changes that take place in the developing brain due to the impact of electronics. I have heard Dr. Kane speak a couple of times and she is awesome! Her research is amazing and there is definitely information parents should be aware of. If you have time to go to one of these sessions, it will be well worth your time.
