Second Grade Students Learn About Habitats in Utah

Submitted by brenda.johnson on

The Hogle Zoo came to teach our 2nd graders about different habitats that are found in Utah. The students got to be biologists for the lesson by observing different soil samples, plant samples, and sorting pictures of animal tracks into different habitats. At the end of the lesson students came to the conclusion of what the habitats were. Our favorite part of the visit was being able to see a Tiger Salamander, and being able to touch a Chuckwalla or a Turtle.
