Turtle Races in Kindergarten

Submitted by brenda.johnson on

Kindergarten students in Mrs. Tara Farr's class recently read "The Tortoise and the Hare".  They talked about being a good sport and not giving up and that they can do hard things. As they raced the turtles in class they discussed the importance of being a good cheerleader to each other no matter if they win or lose. They also talked about how the turtle was able to persevere and keep trying until he reached his goal.

Pop Into Reading Party

Submitted by brenda.johnson on

Friday, September 6, Brockbank students enjoyed a fun eventful "Pop into Reading Party". It was for those students who read more than 960 minutes over the summer. We are so proud of all of their efforts and hard work! The majority actually read well over a thousand minutes. There was bounce houses and popsicles!  The students really enjoyed it!  We are looking forward to increasing the number of participants next year. Summer reading definitely makes a difference!
