Brockbank Elementary is proud to announce our Kiwanis Terrific Kids for 2018-2019 school year.
Recently, Brockbank students in Mrs. Danielle Carter's class participated at Maple Mountain High School in the Super Stars Track Meet. There were almost 260 students from every elementary school in the Nebo School District that got to be track stars for the day. Students participated in the 50, 100, 200, and 400 meter dashes, wheel chair dash, short jump, long jump, and baseball throw. All participants received a medal.
Wednesday, May 8 fifth grade students had the opportunity to attend and participate in the Freedom Walk held at the Spanish Fork Sports Park. It was hosted by Spanish Fork's American Legion. Veterans from each of the branches were represented and told stories about their experiences to the students. This event was a great experience for the students to get a better understanding and appreciation for the Flag and the sacrifices made by everyone who has served in the military.
Spanish Fork City and Fiesta Days Rodeo hosted the 2019 Reading Challenge Contest. Students that met their reading goal for the month of April got his/her name put in a drawing where one student from each grade won two tickets to attend the Fiesta Days Rodeo. Out of those students, 2 lucky students were drawn to receive not only the 2 rodeo tickets but a pair of Justin boots, a pair of wrangler jeans. and a cowboy hat. Brockbank students read a total of 180,188 minutes for the month of April!
