I hope you are enjoying all the things that springtime brings!  I love the blue sky and sunshine, and the green grass and tulips that are popping up!  It’s a beautiful time of year!

Parents, this time of year is especially busy, as you well know!  Please read the bulletin carefully!  I think every day in May has a scheduled event!  We are excited as we begin to wind down the school year and have such special activities!

On Friday, April 20, kindergarten students at Brockbank Elementary entertained their parents and grandparents with a fun program. They showed them what they have learned this year by each student memorizing a small speaking part, singing songs and watching a fun slide show. The students worked really hard practicing and performing this program and all of them did a great job!

Brockbank fifth and sixth-graders worked hard preparing for the district debate tournament. Under the direction of Mrs. Kristel Peterson, students spent hours researching, dividing into affirmative and negative teams, and preparing oral arguments. At the district tournament Brockbank students did extremely well. Students debated in teams of two, overall winners are in pairs. Seven teams go on to state from Brockbank, with one more team going as an alternate.

Sixth Grade Renaissance Fair

Sixth grade as well as the rest of the Brockbank family enjoyed a very special event on March 7, 2018: The first sixth grade Renaissance Fair was held as an all day event for students, parents, and teachers to enjoy! The festivities included the sixth graders dressing to represent a famous Renaissance person or country, an assortment of displays on their chosen countries and people, and two enjoyable Renaissance dances choreographed by a Nebo District dance specialist, Miss Rachel Kimball.

Hello, Brockbank Families!

What a surprise to get a little snow upon our tulips!  Spring is always a little crazy in Utah!  Please make sure that you have your child dressed appropriately, as we are not quite sure what kind of weather it will be!

Sixth grade students had the opportunity to go to the Provo Covey Center of the Arts and watch Ballet West. It was a great experience for them to see a live performance. Students said it was very emotional and exciting to watch. We would like to thank Ballet West for inviting sixth grade students and giving them such a great opportunity.
