Brockbank Fifth-Graders Love Science!

Tuesday, February 3,  a representative from Discovery Gateway Children's Museum, visited the fifth-grade students at Brockbank Elementary. The students enjoyed a fun science lesson on chemical and physical changes. After a demostration  the students were then able to conduct their own chemical reations. It was a very fun way to learn!

Brockbank Students Love Our School Counselor!

Brockbank students love our school counselor, Mrs. Terri Jensen! She is very important in the lives of the students at Brockbank. She teaches life skills lessons in each class about once a month.  This helps students know what to do when they need to face certain situations in life.  It also  lets every student know that it is natural and okay to talk with the counselor. The counselors office is right by the front door so it is easy for students to see her and visit with her.

Brockbank Students Participate in Book Trailer Contest in the Library

Recently in the library, librarian Mrs. Peggy Rothaug, invited fourth, fifth, and sixth grade students to participate in a book trailer contest. The object of the contest was for the students to read books and to then share the books with friends and excite others to read their favorite books by creating a book trailer using powerpoint, movie maker, or by making a poster. The trailer had to include important information about the book, the title, author, and the summary of the plot (without giving away the ending). Students did such a great job that Mrs.
