Brockbank Spirit Week continues with "Color Day", a new dress-up idea by the sixth grade spirit committee this year, grades were encouraged to dress in their assigned color. Kindergarten (yellow), first (green), second (blue), third (pink), fourth (red), fifth (orange), and sixth (purple). It was a fun to see all the grades in different colors around the school.
Happy 56th Birthday Brockbank! Each year Brockbank celebrates it's birthday by hosting a School Spirit Week. During this week Jan 26-30, the sixth-grade student council sponsored some fun dress-up days to help students celebrate! Monday, January 26, students dressed up for "50's Day" they wore clothes worn in the fifties to celebrate the decade when Brockbank Elementary opened.
We are sorry to have Alison Hansen leave as principal of Brockbank but wish her the best in her new job. She is working with STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) curriculum at a district level. Alison will always be a "Brockbank Bronco" besides being principal for the past 10 years, she attended Brockbank when she was in elementary school. Alison is an amazing lady and has touched the lives of many children, teachers, and staff throughout the years and will be greatly missed. We wish her the best!
Brockbank recently received a grant from the Nebo Education Foundation for a projector to be used in our computer lab.
Brockbank's former Principal Alison Hansen recently received the PEAK Award (Positive Energy and Kindness) which is presented monthly to someone in the Nebo School District who "really gets it" when it comes to providing exceptional customer service, which in turn results in positive impacts on everyone including students, parents, co-workers and members of the community. Alison was nominated for this award by Ms. Kristi Jensen.
Brockbank Elementary is in the final week, (last day being Friday, January 23) of collecting "Pennies" for Shriner's Hospital. Shriner's Hospital provides specialized care to children with orthopedic conditions, burns, spinal cord injuries, and cleft lip and palate, regardless of the patients’ ability to pay. Please bring in your pennies to help with this great cause.
Brockbank is happy to announce the Hansen Heroes for December. Hansen Heroes are students that make good choices and set good examples for their classmates!
