Brockbank's Speech Teacher, Mrs. Susan Johnson, helped to start and supervise an after school tennis program again this year. Mrs. Johnson has over 30 years of tennis experience and wanted to give the students something else to do inside during the winter months. Thanks to the United States Tennis Association that generously donated junior size tennis nets, foam balls, and rackets last year, and with the help of volunteers, she was able to again this year give students the opportunity to learn the basic fundamentals of tennis.

Brockbank Sixth-Graders Enjoyed the Season of Giving

Brockbank sixth graders for a writing activity each chose a second grader and then spent a lot of time rewriting a Christmas story with them. They used the second grader as the main character. They then met together and read their story and sixth-graders gave it to the second grader as an early Christmas gift. They all made a new friend and realized this was a great way to start of the season of giving!
