Third Grade Students Receive Dictionaries

Submitted by brenda.johnson on
Brockbank third graders were thrilled to receive dictionaries donated by Central Bank.  Spanish Fork Rotary Club who has a goal of placing a dictionary in the hands of every third grade student. Each student put his/her name in the dictionary and is encouraged to use it during classwork and also at home. Central Bank has given Brockbank third grade students dictionaries for several years and we appreciate their continued support of our students.

Turkey Trouble in First Grade

Submitted by brenda.johnson on

Brockbank first-graders recently finished reading the book, "Turkey Trouble" written by Wendi J. Silvano. In the story a turkey is in trouble, bad trouble, it is almost Thanksgiving and he is the main course. Farmer Jake is looking for him. Turkey has an idea what if he doesn't look like a turkey? What if he looks like something different instead? First-graders then got to use their imaginations and pick a disguise for Turkey so Farmer Jake won't recognize him

Fifth Grade Wax Museum

Submitted by brenda.johnson on

Brockbank Elementary fifth-graders held their wax museum. The students picked a famous person in American history, they did research on that person, memorizing interesting and important facts, and then they got to dress-up like that person for a day. During the day, students from other grades were able to visit the museum and learn about these famous Americans. It was a very fun and educational experience for all that participated.

We Love Our Veterans

Submitted by brenda.johnson on

Friday, November 11, Brockbank Elementary had some very special visitors come to our school to honor Veterans Day. We are so proud of all of our veterans and enjoy having them come and talk to us each year. Brockbank students welcomed the veterans to our school by waving American Flags. Fifth grade students sang. The veterans introduced themselves to the students and showed a slide show presentation. It was a very touching assembly reminding us all why veterans are so important and about all the sacrifices that they have made for us so that we can be free.
