Kristel Peterson is this year's recipient of the Horace Mann Crystal Apple Award.

Kristel began her career teaching first grade in Park City and Cedar City. She taught first grade for seven years before moving to Spanish Fork. She joined Brockbank's second grade team where she taught for eight years. Three years ago she made the huge leap to sixth grade where she is now.
Kristel is an amazing educator, was the 2014 debate coach of the year, and is the district guru for ESL. She fulfills her desire to perform as an actress in our school-wide character education program, "Marva & Jessie", where she plays the lead, Jessie.
Kristel and her husband, Dustin live in Spanish Fork and have two children. She is an amazing teacher and friend. We are so lucky she is at Brockbank! Congratulations Kristel for being this years Crystal Apple Award winner!
