Brockbank Elementary is happy to share some fun ways on "How to Cook a Turkey" according to second graders. Students had a creative writing assignment which lets the students use their imagination with no prompting from the teacher as far as content, they are able to write their own ideas. Below is some ideas of "How to Cook a Turkey" by Brockbank second grade students in their writing:

Isaac Bryson - "Get these things; money. turkey, oven, plate, knife. First buy a turkey. Bring it home. Next wash the turkey and then put in the oven. Cook it for 1 hour at 400 degress, then take the turkey out, put it on a plate, get a knife and cut it up. Last eat it up!" William Price - "Go to the store then get a turkey. Then go home, then put it in the oven. Get your mittens, then put it in for a while. Then take it out with your mittens. Then the turkey is done!" Connelly Washburn - "You find a turkey and kill that turkey. You turn on the stove. You get out the bones. You cut the head off and you eat it!" George Heywood - "You will need a turkey, utensels, fire gun, and knife. First kill the turkey. Next cook the turkey for five and a half. Then cut it up. Last eat it up!" Mikah Banks - "You put the turkey in a pot with water in it. Then turn the stove on, then put the turkey in the stove. Then take the turkey out and you have a turkey. You sit down with your family and eat a turkey!"
