Brockbank Red Ribbon Week, "Living Drug Free is No Sweat!"

Submitted by brenda.johnson on

To continue with Red Ribbon Week, Thursday, October 13, was "Living Drug Free is No sweat". Students and faculty wore sweats. As an activity each class created a banner with a drug free theme and at the end of the day there was a drug-free banner parade. Everyone went outside and two students for each class carried their classes banner around the school. Judges voted and picked out the four top banners. All of the classes did a great job! It was very hard to pick but the winners were; first place went to Mrs. Alexandra Dedrickson's fifth-grade class whose banner had the theme, "You Can Bank on Us to Stay Away from Drugs!" Other winners were; Mrs. Kristel Peterson's second-grade class, "Be Smart, Don't Start!", Mrs. Louise Crook's second-grade class, "We Are Smartie Pants, We Say No to Drugs" and Mrs. Sally Nelson's class, "Sock It to Drugs!" Congratulations to the winners! Each winning class received a prize.
