HELLO, BROCKBANK FAMILIES!
We appreciate your support our district minimal day. This day is helpful to our teachers in their planning for next year in the area of science. Our students will be dismissed at noon tomorrow. The bus students will be dismissed a little before that. Lunch will be served.
Kindergarten Minimal Day on March 16th is different than for the rest of the school. For this
minimal day, AM Kindergarten students WILL NOT be coming to school. PM Kindergarten
students WILL be coming to school but they will need to come from 8:45-11:00. If your PM
Kindergarten child rides the bus home, he/she can ride the bus home with the rest of the bus
students that will be dismissed at 11:30, or you are welcome to pick your bus child up at 11:00
with the rest of the students. If your child is NOT a bus student he/she must be picked up at
11:00 and not noon. Please arrange with babysitters, daycare, or other people who may help
you pick up your child so they know to plan to get your child from school at 11:00.

PTA MTG. CHANGED TO MARCH 17TH AT 10:00

THANK YOU FROM SHRINERS HOSPITAL
FOR CHILDREN
We received a sweet thank you note from Shriners Hospital for the money that we raised
during our fundraiser. Here a couple of lines from their letter:

"We want to reach out and personally think you and the kind students for their generous
fnancial support of $984.37 to the hospital. Thank you for doing this. It is our hope that these
precious children and their minds recognize that good deeds like this are worth their weight in
gold!" Thank you, parents for your support to this great cause!

6TH GRADE IMPORTANT INFORMATION
This time of year is a busy time for our students getting ready to move on to the next level! In
this case, Middle School! We are excited for both our 5th and 6th grade students and the
adventure they will have next year in middle school. We have a few things planned for them
and want you to put them on your schedule:
Please see the attachment for 6th grade students for their 6th grade immunization
requirements.
Sharp Survey for 6th grade students: You will be receiving an email that gives us permission
for your child to take the SHARP Survey. This survey is given to get a snapshot of students
across the country at this age. It also gives our school valuable information! Please watch for
that email.

DIAMOND FORK JUNIOR HIGH PTSA

The Diamond Fork Junior High PTSA would like to take this opportunity to welcome all the
incoming students and parents of Diamond Fork Middle School (DFMS) for the 2021-2022

throughout the year. It is our hope that every family can participate so we can better serve our
children and our school community.
Below is a link to sign up for our PTSA Board and Committee Chairs. As Diamond Fork Middle
School is a new school next year, all positions are open and we desperately need volunteers
to tell them! This is a great opportunity to be involved and make a positive impact on our
children’s school environment. Please sign up TODAY to be a part of Diamond Fork Middle
School PTSA. If you have any questions, please contact Jackie Packard, text 801-361-3920 or

BRIGHT IDEAS SUMMER WORKSHOP
For those interested, there is a Bright Ideas summer workshop for students that are interested
in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) activities. This is a great
opportunity for students to expand their minds and work on problem solving, critical thinking
and creative skills.

STUDENT SAFETY
Thank you, parents, for following the laws and for driving slowly and carefully when picking up
your child. I see parents slowing down and being considerate of other drivers while picking up
students. Please also be aware of the following: *Please do not flip a U-Turn on 300 West. In the morning or afternoon, there are too many students that are walking and crossing the streets, and too many parents driving in and out of the school grounds, that this is an unsafe practice. Please follow the laws!

*Please cross at the intersections and do not have your child cross with you in the middle of
the road. Please be an example of safety!
*If you park in the parking lot, please get out of your car and go and wait for your child so
he/she is not crossing alone in front of buses and cars.

PLEASE, NO OTHER DRINKS THAN WATER!
AND...A FEW OTHER IMORTANT
REMINDERS!
*Please have your child only bring water in his/her water bottle. Please do not send juice, pop,
or Gatorade. Since we are eating in our classrooms, we have had quite a few spills and it is
making a mess on the carpets. Thanks!
*We are having quite a number of students that are forgetting their masks. We have masks
available, but it is costing us quite a bit to purchase them. Please make sure your child has a
clean, cloth mask each day when he/she comes to school.
*Please make sure your child has a warm coat for these cold days!
