Hello, Brockbank Families!

Happy Holidays! I hope this Christmas Season brings you a lot of joy and peace as you are able to spend time with families and friends! It is such a wonderful time of the year and there is no better way to spend this time than with children. Today we had our sing-a-long and it was so fun to hear the children sing songs and fill the auditorium with such happiness!

MAKE A CONNECTION

We are learning more and more that we are losing connections with our youth! With texting, social media and such, we are losing some of the face to face interactions and conversations that are so vital to the development of our children! Each week I hope to add just a small reminder to make a connection with your child! Every little connection you make with your child helps him/her build a foundation of emotional, mental, physical and social stability.

This week's connection: Share your favorite Christmas Songs and sing them together! Let your child know what songs mean a lot to you, their message and why they are a special memory!

PTA Gift Trees

Our wonderful PTA has made fun Christmas Trees and placed them outside of each classroom. On the trees are ornaments that teachers have written ideas for gifts that students can give for their teacher or for the class. If you need ideas for Christmas gifts, have your child take an ornament off of your child's teacher's tree. Thanks to our awesome PTA!

Orchestra Performance

Our early morning orchestra class is going to perform a special Christmas Concert tomorrow, December 17th, at 8:50 am and 6:00 pm in the gym! We are proud of our students that have been working so hard to learn how to play their instruments! We look forward to their performance!

2nd Grade Christmas Program

Our 2nd Grade Christmas program will be on Wednesday, December 18th at 2:00. We are excited for our students and the fun things they have planned for their parents/guardians!

Friday, December 20th is a full day of school!

Holiday Break-December 23rd-January 1st! School will resume January 2nd, 2020.

Lunch Money Payments

Parents, please make sure you are current with your lunch payments. Letters and reminders are being sent out to all those families that have delinquent charges. If you have problems with paying your lunch account, please call the office so we can be of assistance to you!

SEP Conferences

Our SEP Conferences will be Thursday, January 9th from 3:30-8:30. We will follow the same schedule as our Fall Conference and your child will be bringing home with a reminder note that tells your time. If that time does not work, please contact your child's teacher to reschedule. Thanks!

Safety-PLEASE drive slowly! PLEASE do not flip U-turns as you pick your child up on 300 West. PLEASE use the crosswalks! PLEASE park in a parking stall and get out of your car and get your child. PLEASE tell others that are picking up your child where to go.

MATH LAB

We are starting up our Math Lab in the mornings, before school! We have two tutors that will be here at 8:30 to help any students that need help with math concepts, assignments, and homework. The Math Lab is in the library and all students are welcome to come!
