KIDS have the power to make a positive difference. Please join the Kid Power committee at Brockbank Elementary to change the world. Our project this year is to help the Wounded Warriors Project. This is our opportunity to give back to them for everything they do for us.
Each grade will bring money to donate. All paper and silver coins in their cans will count for that grades total. All the pennies put in that grade level can, will subtract from their total. So put pennies in another classes can to stop them from beating your grade. Put the silver and paper money in your class can to increase your total. This is called a Penny War. Our penny war will help the Wounded Warriors .
We will start our penny war on February 12 and go through March 1 . The grade level with the heaviest can on Feb 19 will win that week. The grade level with the heaviest can on February 25 will win for that week. The grade level that raises the most money by March 1 will win overall. If by March 1, each grade level can that has $150 in it the students can send one of their grade level teachers to the pie eating contest. (for example is the third grade can has $150 the students can choice to send either Mrs. Creer, Mrs. Marx, or Mr. Vernon to eat pie) If there is $300 in their can they can also send a faculty member of their choice to the pie eating contest. If the whole school can raise $2,000 they can send the principal to the pie eating contest. Start earning money to make a difference!
