Hello, Brockbank Families!
We are excited for the next couple of weeks, as we have many fun things going on at our school! The holidays are just around the corner and there will be lots of fun events, here at Brockbank!
Friday, we were privileged to have our local Veterans come to our school to present a short assembly. Our students lined the hallways and waved flags to welcome them to our school. It was quite a sight and very touching for our Veterans to be welcomed to Brockbank this way! We hope they felt our appreciation for all that they have done for us, as a country. Our students were so awesome during the assembly and were so quiet and respectful. I was very proud of all of them!
Today we had our BFF Activity! It was on determination. Please talk to your child about what determination is and what he/she learned today. We watched an inspiring clip of an Olympic runner who tore his ham-string during his race. Ask your child what happened and who helped him finish the race.
Please make sure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather. It looks beautiful outside, but it has been cold. Please send a coat or jacket with your child, and please label it. Thanks!
School Programs: We are so excited to have 2 programs this week! Our 4th Grade students will have their program tomorrow, Tues, November 13th, at 6:00pm. Our 5th Grade students will have their Wax Museum on the following night, Wednesday, at 6:00pm. Our students have worked so hard getting ready for these fun events!
Pledge Money: We are still accepting money from the pledges from our FUN RUN. Those can be turned in to the office!
Math Lab: Parents, in the mornings at 8:30, we have two wonderful ladies that are here to tutor students in math! If you feel your child could use extra help with homework, please send him/her in the mornings to our math lab!
