Hello, Brockbank Families!
Thank you so much for all of your support with our SEP Conferences and the PTA Book Fair! It is such a great opportunity for me, to see all these great students of ours come with their families and receive such wonderful support! We have awesome students and I need to tell you that I love them all! Thanks so much for sharing your children with us! I also appreciate Julie Evans, Rebecca Roberts, Kara Cloward and Brenda Dudley for all their hard work in putting together the Book Fair! It was awesome and we appreciate your support for that as well! I also want to tell our teachers how much I love and appreciate them and all the wonderful work they do for our students! They work so hard and do an amazing job, here at Brockbank!
Red Ribbon Week: Today begins the first day of our fun-filled Red Ribbon Week! The students wore RED today, and our theme was, Hocus Pocus, Keep Your Dreams in Focus! Tuesday: Give Drugs the BOOT! Wear Boots! Wednesday: Don’t Let Drugs Haunt You! Wear your Halloween costumes! Thursday: Sock It to Violence! Wear Crazy Socks! Friday: Team Up Against Drugs! Wear your favorite team/sports clothing!
Halloween: We will be celebrating Halloween with a parade at 9:15 am. The students will begin at the front entrance and will walk around the outside of the school. Parents are welcome to come and watch the parade. The pm Kindergarten parade will begin at 12:30. As a reminder, no bloody, gross, disgusting costumes, or anything that displays violence, such as guns, knives, etc. Also, no masks at all, not during the parade or at any time during the day. Faces may be painted, but again, nothing bloody or gory.
Math Lab: Parents, in the mornings at 8:30, we have two wonderful ladies that are here to tutor students in math! If you feel your child could use extra help with homework, please send him/her in the mornings to our math lab!
Pledge Money: We are still accepting money from the pledges from our FUN RUN. Those can be turned in to the office!
Bond Election: We want to refer you to the district website to learn more about the upcoming bond election! www.nebo.edu/bond2018 has information that will help you learn and understand more about this important issue! We have information in our office about the bond and hope that you are registered to vote in the election coming up in November.
