Recently fifth grade students had the opportunity to attend and participate in the Freedom Walk held at the Spanish Fork Sports Park. It was hosted by Spanish Fork's American Legion. Veterans from each of the branches were represented and told stories about their experiences to the students. Fifth grade student, Wade Jones, said he liked hearing about the different planes that the Air Force used best. This event was a great experience for the students to get a better understanding and appreciation for the Flag and the sacrifices made by everyone who has served in the military.
