Hello, Brockbank Families!

WOW!  It is hard to believe that we are down to the final week of school.  I want to tell you how much I have enjoyed this year!   It has been a great year and I have loved getting to know each student better and better!  I have loved having them come into my office with “blue tickets” (for good behavior).  I have loved watching them play outside at recess, and I have loved watching them interact with their peers and with their teachers.  We have such a tremendous staff and I love and admire each person that works so hard each day to make a difference for our students!  I appreciate the support and help you all give to our school!  We have amazing families and the good values that you teach your child reflects in the good things that happen at school each day!  Thanks so much for all you do!

Now, we have a few changes that I need to explain!  I am sad to tell you that we got a call from Spanish Fork City and the pool will NOT be ready for our annual Swimming Activity on the last day of school!  I was not able to tell the students, so they are unaware of this change.  Our teachers are so disappointed too, but they were quick to come up with some fun activities for our students for the last day of school.    We will still plan on having  lunch so please plan on having your child keep his/her original order of either home or school lunch for that day.   We will be ending school at 11:30 for bus students and noon for our walkers.  There will be NO water-type activities, so please do not have your child come in swimwear.

As we stated earlier, our school will be undergoing a lot of changes this summer.  That is why we will not be having summer school.  Our school MAY tentatively be without power from June 11-June 22.  Because of this, I am not sure that our office will be open.  I will keep you updated on the progress of the work that is being done.  Please know that if you need anything during that time, you will still be able to contact me through email.

Summer Reading:  We will be having our summer reading challenge!  Please watch for more information coming home with your child.

Library:  To help with reading throughout the summer, we are going to have a short period of time when students will have access to the school library.  It will be open from July 10th-August 7th, from 9:00-11:00.  STUDENTS WILL NEED TO COME THROUGH THE NORTH SIDE OF THE SCHOOL THROUGH THE 6TH GRADE ENTRANCE.

REGISTRATION:  Please remember that ALL STUDENTS, including kindergarten students, will need to register for school before the school year begins!  Online registration will open July 25th, and in-person registration will be August 1st.  I will be sending more information as it gets closer to those dates.

We invite you to LIKE us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, as well as our own Brockbank website!  Follow us on Instagram--#Brockbankbest, #Lookatbrockbank, and #BrockbankBFF

Again, thank you for everything!  I wish you the very best summer and hope you have a wonderful break!
Thanks for being the BEST!

Mrs. Nelson
