Hello, Brockbank Families!

Another great week is ahead of us!  Tomorrow we will be having our BFF activity.  This year we are talking about a “Growth Mind Set,” and how we can strengthen our brains and learn new things, even if it takes time.  After school tomorrow,  ask your child what the power of YET means.  We hope to have a few articles and other information for you on the Growth Mindset, so that you can be involved with this important concept!

Please watch for the PTA envelopes that will come home with your child.  These envelopes are for you to sign-up for PTA.  When your child returns the envelope he/she will get a treat from his/her teacher. Also, even if you don't want to participate with the PTA, signing up will help give our school a voice. Thanks so much!

Our school tee shirts have been distributed, so please check your child’s backpack if you ordered one.  Please encourage your child to wear his/her shirt, or the school colors every Friday!  We have a cool bronco trophy for the class that has the most students wearing school colors!  Thanks to Amy Engle for helping with the tee shirts.  She does have a few extra shirts if you didn’t order one.

We are in need of parents for our School Community Council.  This council meets once a month and helps plan goals for the school.  Your voice is so important in this process!  If you are interested, please contact the office.

Sept. 22 will be our Chick-fil-A school night.  Last year, you may remember that we partnered with Zupas for our family nights.  We earned over $1000.00 that helped supply our classrooms with Chromebooks, Kindle Fires, and IPads. This year we have partnered with Chick-fil-A and hope for another great year!  We appreciate your support so much!

We are having quite a few people park their cars along 300 West at the end of the day.  PLEASE do not park and get out of your cars along this road.  This is a pick-up zone and cars need to be continually moving forward.

Just a reminder that next Monday, Sept. 19th, will be our minimal day, which means that the students will be dismissed at noon.

Thanks for all you are doing at home to help our school!  Brockbank is the best!

Thanks for your support!

Mrs. Nelson
