Brockbank Fourth Graders Enjoy Living Planet Aquarium Outreach Program

Friday, February 10, Brockbank had two representatives, from the Utah Water Van program come to visit. The Utah Water Van is an educational outreach program about Utah's wetlands and is offered by The Living Planet Aquarium to fourth-grade students throughout Utah. Fourth-grade students are allowed through the use of models, to see and better understand the importance of Utah's wetlands and about some of Utah's native wetland plants and animals.

Hello, Brockbank Families!

We have had quite the week with the weather!  I just want to reassure you that I check the air quality and temperatures each day.  We keep the students in if the temperature is below 20 degrees and/or the air quality is poor.

6th Grade Science Fair:  Friday, February 10th will be our 6th Grade Science Fair.  We are looking forward to what our students are discovering and what they will share with us that day!

Brockbank First Graders Celebrated 100 Days of School

Brockbank Elementary celebrated "100 Days of School!" Students celebrated this day in several different ways. First-graders used the number 100 in math skills like counting and place value; they wrote down 100 words that they have learned how to read and write this year; they drew pictures of what they would look like if they were 100 years old; they made cool glasses to wear; and they named 100 things you can eat and 100 things you cannot eat.

Brockbank Kindergarten Students Celebrate 100 Days of School!

Brockbank kindergarteners recently celebrated making it through "100 days of school". To celebrate this achievement they had a fun filled day of activities centered around the number 100. They earned an official "100 Day" certificate by completing the following activities; counting 100 objects, taking a 100 step walk, completing 100 seconds of silence (at least tried to), discussing what they could eat 100 of, and there was a 100 drops of water test.

Brockbank Students Enjoy Fun Run

Thursday, January 26, student wore their sports clothes so they could participate in the school "Fun Run" fundraiser. It was awesome to see the students run the tracks. There was lots of red faces but they never gave up. Most all the students ran at least 26 laps. Thanks to all the generous support for the fundraiser. Money earned will be used for guided reading, take home library, and technology.

Hello, Brockbank Families!

 

I can’t thank you enough for your kind and generous support for our Fun-Run Fundraiser!  It was so awesome to see our students run the tracks!  Their little faces were bright red, but they never gave up!  We appreciate your pledges-it is overwhelming to see such kindness for our school!  We will still be accepting pledge money if you needed to get information from us or such!  We plan to use the money to boost up our Guided level and take home libraries and also technology.  Thank you all so much!

 

Brockbank Celebrates Legend Day

Wednesday, January 25 was Legend's Day! Students were encouraged to dress like their favorite legend.  Someone extremely famous or notorious to them. Students dressed like parents, grandparents, teachers, athletes, super heroes, etc...
