Tuesday, May 14 an open house was held at Brockbank Elementary honoring a very deserving lady, Sherry Plaisted. Sherry is the intern facilitator at Brockbank, her tremendous work has helped countless children progress academically. As facilitator, Sherry has supported many new teachers with her remarkable expertise and valuable teaching skills.

Sherry is passionate about learning and especially reading. She did an amazing job organizing Brockbank's reading tutoring program, analyzing data and student work, then teaching strategies to students that help them succeed. Sherry is patient, kind and knows how to push students to excel. As an intern facilitator, she expects the very best from new teachers and is always there to support them every step of their year-teaching experience. Sherry is a valuable resource for our entire staff and teachers refer to her often. The faculty and staff love her, respect her, and look to her for guidance in every aspect.  We are really going to miss Sherry but wish her all the best in her retirement!

Sherry and her husband John are the proud parents of five wonderful children and nine grandchildren. They reside in Springville, Utah.
