Friday, May 4, an open house was held at Brockbank Elementary honoring two amazing teachers, Mrs. Alexandra Dedrickson and Ms. Kristi Jensen. These two ladies have touched the lives of many children throughout the years and will be greatly missed. We wish them both the best!    Kristi Jensen - Special Education Teacher,  Resource, Behavior Unit & Self Contained. Kristi has taught at Grant, Larsen & Brockbank. She has 30 years of service in Nebo, 1 year in another District .  “My teaching career has come full circle. I did my student teaching at Brockbank Elementary at the beginning of my career as a young woman full of hopes and dreams of impacting special education children. I am ending my career at Brockbank having fulfilled my hopes and dreams and have noticed the impact on my students lives. I have been blessed to work with countless co-workers who have encouraged me and inspired me. I have had amazing Principals who have supported and advised me. I have been highly trained by the Special Education Department. I have written and attended thousands of IEP’s. I end my career full of love for educators, para educators, co-workers, bosses/Principals and most of all the children – whom have kept me both sane and insane for the past 31 years.”  Alexandra Dedrickson- Teacher – Brockbank Elementary 33 years of service in Nebo   “Thirty three years ago I was hired by Nebo School District to teach 1st grade. Those 33 years have flown by and I realized that during those years I have taught 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th grades along with 9 years in Reading Recovery. I have been privileged to work with the best principals, teachers, students and parents at Brookside and Brockbank Elementary schools. As a teacher who thoroughly enjoyed teaching reading, I find myself closing this chapter in my life and beginning a new series.”
