Brockbank Students Raise Money for "Pennies for Patients"!

Submitted by brenda.johnson on

After the third and final week of collecting "Pennies for Patients" to support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Brockbank students brought in another $637.19 with a total of all three weeks of $2,029.72 . Brockbank's goal was to raise $1,000 and to teach students that each of them has the power to make a difference by bringing in their quarters, dimes, nickels, and pennies, so with the combined efforts of all the students we doubled our goal raising over $2,000. The money raised will be used to care for cancer patients and to help with research. The winning class for the third week was (again), Mrs. Alexandra Dedrickson's fifth-grade class. Mrs. Dedrickson's class won the first and third weeks bringing in a total of $266.96 earning a silver pennant! Five classes brought in over $100 earning a Bronze Pennant- Mrs. Amberly Kariuki's afternoon class, Mrs. Lisa Bird's class, Mrs. Carolyn Creer's class, Mrs. Kristel Peterson's class, and Mrs. JaNae Wilson's class.  Brockbank students can really make a difference!
