Brockbank first-graders finished reading the book, "Turkey Trouble" written by Wendi J. Silvano. In the story a turkey is in trouble, bad trouble, it is almost Thanksgiving and he is the main course. Farmer Jake is looking for him. Turkey has an idea what if he doesn't look like a turkey? What if he looks like another animal instead? First-graders then got to use their imaginations and pick a disguise for Turkey so Farmer Jake won't recognize him.

Wyatt Herbst picked a baseball player for his turkey. He said on his paper, "I could be a baseball player. I could hit a baseball. Batter Up, Batter Up," said the turkey. "Oh!" said the farmer. "It must be a baseball player."

Sawyer Simons picked a witch for her turkey. She said, "I could be a witch. I could do spells. "Hex, Hex" said the turkey. "Oh!" said the farmer. "It must be a witch."

Price Isaac picked a black spotted dog for his turkey. He said, "I could be a black spotted dog. I could bark. "Ruff Ruff", said the turkey. "Oh!" said the farmer. "It must be a black spotted dog."

Ella Partridge picked a cat for her turkey. She said, "I could be a cat. I could scratch. "Meow Meow" said the turkey. "Oh!" said the farmer. "It must be a cat."

Max Roberts picked a ninja for his turkey. He said, I could be a ninja. I could fight bad guys. "Hiya Hiya" said the turkey. "Oh!" said the farmer, "It must be a ninja".
