Brockbank First-Graders Read "Turkey Trouble"

Brockbank first-graders recently finished reading the book, "Turkey Trouble" written by Wendi J. Silvano. In the story a turkey is in trouble, bad trouble, it is almost Thanksgiving and he is the main course. Farmer Jake is looking for him. Turkey has an idea what if he doesn't look like a turkey? What if he looks like another animal instead? First-graders then got to use their imaginations and pick a disguise for Turkey so Farmer Jake won't recognize him.

Rylan Rindlisbacher picked a Rylan for his turkey. He said on his paper, "I could be a Rylan. I could go to school. "Hi Friend," said the turkey. "Oh!" said the farmer. "It must be a Rylan."

Heston Freeland picked a cowboy for his turkey. He said, "I could be a cowboy. I could ride a horse. "Yee Haw" said the turkey. "Oh!" said the farmer. "It must be a cowboy."

Piper Jones picked a cheerleader for her turkey. She said, "I could be a cheerleader. I could cheer. "Go Team, Go Team", said the turkey. "Oh!" said the farmer. "It must be a cheerleader."

Ellie Rich picked a fish for her turkey. She said, "I could be a fish. I could swim. "swish, swish" said the turkey. "Oh!" said the farmer. "It must be a fish."
