Brockbank first-graders recently finished reading the book, "Turkey Trouble" written by Wendi J. Silvano. In the story a turkey is in trouble, bad trouble, it is almost Thanksgiving and he is the main course. Farmer Jake is looking for him. Turkey has an idea what if he doesn't look like a turkey? What if he looks like another animal instead? First-graders then got to use their imaginations and pick a disguise for Turkey so Farmer Jake won't recognize him.

Alessi Marshall picked a doctor for her turkey. She said on her paper, "I could be a doctor. I could fix people. "get better," said the turkey. "Oh!" said the farmer. "It must be a doctor."

Emmalie Farr picked a cowboy for her turkey. She said, "I could be a cowboy. I could ride a pony. "YeeHaw YeeHaw" said the turkey. "Oh!" said the farmer. "It must be a cowboy."

Kamden Palmer picked a police officer for his turkey. He said, "I could be a police officer. I could Stop People. "Whoa Whoa", said the turkey. "Oh!" said the farmer. "It must be a police officer."

Ace Larsen picked a hunter for his turkey. He said, "I could be a hunter. I could shoot a gun. "pew pew" said the turkey. "Oh!" said the farmer. "It must be a hunter."
