Hello, Brockbank Families!

We hope you had a wonderful Fall Break!  It was a perfect weekend to do something special and I hope you got around to some of the fun Fall activities!

Thanks to all those who came to our Dads and Doughnuts morning!  We had a wonderful turnout and we appreciate you coming!  We also want to thank the PTA for their hard work to get that ready for us!

SEP SIGN UPS:  If you have NOT signed up for SEP Conferences, please contact your child’s teacher!  We look forward to seeing you this Thursday to celebrate your child’s accomplishments!

Book Fair: Our PTA Book Fair will be scheduled from Oct. 23rd-26th.  It is open each day from 8:15-8:4511:30-12:303:00-3:15.  The night of SEP Conferences, it will be open all evening. We appreciate your support for the Book Fair, and appreciate all the hard work the PTA does in getting this ready!

Box Tops:  Please remember to send Box Tops with your child this week!  Our goal is to bring in 4000 by Friday!  The top 2 classes that get the most Box Tops will get a reward!

Halloween: We will be having our Halloween Parade at 9:00.  The Ghosts and Ghouls will be walking around the outside of the school!  Please remember that nothing gory or bloody, or any type of weapon is allowed with the costumes or face painting. Masks are allowed only for the parade and not in class.

Learning Through Robotics:  We are still accepting students for our Robotics class.  It is held after school, every Thursday, for 9 weeks.  This will be a great class where the students will be doing many hands-on activities with robots that they will build!  Please contact the office if you are interested.

District Survey:
Dear Parent:

Nebo School District sincerely appreciates your support of Nebo School District and the opportunity to work together with you to provide an exceptional education for our students. We would appreciate your input on the Bond Survey before October 31. Please go to www.nebo.edu to begin the survey.

Nebo School District is in the initial planning process for a Bond Election to be held next year on November 6, 2018. Bonding is the primary method school districts use to construct new schools and meet other facility priorities. Bond money cannot be used for salaries and benefits.

Based on previous community feedback of wanting to move to the middle school model, Nebo School District plans to ask patrons to approve a $298 million dollar bond in November 2018. This tax-rate-neutral (no tax rate increase) bond will be used for:

1.   Building three new middle schools for students in sixth and seventh grade. These middle schools will be located within the boundaries of Salem Hills High, Springville High, and Maple Mountain High. As the new middle schools are completed, Mt. Nebo Junior High and Diamond Fork Junior High will become middle schools;

2.   Rebuilding Payson High, Spanish Fork High, and Springville High; and

3.    Making improvements to existing buildings and sites. It is estimated that approximately $10 million dollars of bond funds will be focused on upgrades and improvements.

The Nebo School Board's decision on which projects to include will rely on public input and recommendations from parent committees.

In accordance with state law, the Nebo School Board will finalize all plans prior to the 2018 Bond Election so the voting public will know the specific plans before voting. In the coming months, please continue to look for additional bond information at www.nebo.edu and in meetings held throughout Nebo School District.

Again, Nebo School District sincerely appreciates your input and support of Nebo School District. Please go to www.nebo.edu to begin the survey.
