Hello, Brockbank Families!

It was great to see the skies a bit more clear of smog and smoke!  We hope you are aware that we watch the air quality reports and keep students in, if the air quality is poor.   We had our first BFF (Brockbank Friends and Family) Group today!  The students met and were assigned buddies.  That is my favorite part, seeing the older students take care of the younger students!  The students participated in a couple of activities that helped us get to know each other better, and also to teach us how to work together.  Our focus this year will be on the principles of our B.E.S.T. mission statement!  Parents, we are still having parents and students cross the road in the middle of the road and not at the intersection after school.  PLEASE use the intersection where the crossing guard is.  We have students watch you and think it is all right to cross the road on their own.  We need to watch out for each other and keep our students safe.  Thanks for your help!  District Minimal Day:  On September 18th, the students will be dismissed early so that teachers can attend school training.  Bus students will leave at 11:30, when the buses come, and walking students will be dismissed at noon.  We appreciate your support for these types of training.  PTA Help:   PTA does so many great things for our school! Your contributions help fund so many wonderful projects for our students!  Parent helpers inside the classrooms, as well as at home, make such a big difference for our students!  The PTA will meet TOMORROW, at 2:00.  You are welcome to come and be a part of a great team!  We invite you to LIKE us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, as well as our own Brockbank website!  Follow us on Instagram--#Brockbankbest, #Lookatbrockbank, and #BrockbankBFF  Always remember to keep saving Box Tops!  Those little things add up in a big, big way! Thanks for being the BEST!  Mrs. Nelson  Brockbank Bulletin:9/12-DARE begins for 5th Grade students9/18-Minimal Day-students are dismissed at noon10/5-Vison Screening10/19-20-Fall Break
