Hello, Brockbank Families!

We are welcoming the winter weather back again!  We seem to get a taste of spring and then, here comes the snow!

We look forward to March and the many events that are planned for this month!

Champion’s Challenge:  The Diamond Fork Riding Club is sponsoring a drawing for the students that meet their reading goal for the month of March!  Members of the Riding Club came today to get the students excited to read!  At the end of March, they will come back and have a drawing for students for the Champion’s Rodeo, a pair of Justin Boots, Wrangler Levis, and cowboy hats.

Kid Power Charitable Activity:  Each year, we are encouraged to have a charitable giving fundraiser.  This year our Kid Power Student Council has decided to raise money for Primary Children’s Hospital.  Kid Power has put together lunch-time activities each day for the students. Each activity (5 total)  will be 25 cents. These activities will begin Monday, February 27th and will end Friday, March 10th.  Students can bring in their donations and get tickets for the activity each morning and at lunch.  We look forward to this fun event that the students have planned!

Dr. Seuss Day:  On March 2nd, Brockbank will be celebrating Dr. Seuss Day!  This is a great day to focus on reading and how important it is!  We would like all the students to wear fun or cray socks on this day, as we read the book, Fox in Socks!

MinimalDay:  Monday, March 6th is a district minimal day.  These days are meant for professional development for our great teachers.  We appreciate your support for these days.  Our bus students will be dismissed at 11:30 and our walking students will be dismissed at noon

Dads and Doughnuts/Book Fair:  We are excited for our Dads and Doughnuts on March 10th.  This will be the kick-off for our PTA Book Fair that will continue throughout the following week, March 13-16th.  The Book Fair is always such a great event for our school!  Thanks to our wonderful PTA!

Kindergarten Enrollment:  On March 15th, we will be having our enrollment day for Kindergarten for the 2017-18 school year.  This is an important day to get a good estimate of how many children will be coming to Kindergarten.  Please spread the word!

SEP Conferences:  March 16th will be our last SEP Conference for the year!  Your child’s teacher will be sending home a reminder of the time you have scheduled for that meeting.  The following day, March 17th, will be a SEP Comp day.  There will be no school held that day!
