Hello, Brockbank Families!

We are looking forward to a great week, here at Brockbank!  There are plenty of good things going on, such as field trips and activities that our students are looking forward to! Remember to always check the website for details of upcoming events!

I'm so proud of our Debate students and how they represented our school at the district tournament!   They walked away with many great awards and honors!  Thanks to Mrs. Peterson, Mr. Hunt, and Mrs. Bryson for all their hard work with our students!

The students will be bringing home a packet for out PTA fundraiser.  We are so excited for this fundraiser because the students will be getting pledges for their reading!  Our hope is that our students will get family and relatives to pledge money for the minutes that they read.  We are asking the students to read 400 minutes for this fundraiser.  At the end of the fundraiser, we will have a big carnival to celebrate the success of our reading accomplishments.  The packet will give you detailed information.  We hope you will encourage your child to read!  Thanks to our PTA for promoting such a great activity!  The money the PTA receives will help with our school, providing such things as doughnuts for Dads and Doughnuts, Reflection Contest items, books, and many other wonderful things for our school!

Tomorrow night, (Tuesday) will be our last Zupa's Family Night!  We have almost received $1000.00 from Zupas!  We plan to use this money for technology in the classrooms.  Thanks so much for your support, and we hope to see you all there!

We all hope you have fun plans for Spring Break that is scheduled for April 4-8!

As some of you have noticed, we no longer have our recycling bin in the parking lot. The district is looking at other options, however, as of now, we are not planning on one. Please try to take your recycling to another site and remember that the other bins we have are for school garbage and not recycling.

If you know of anyone who has not signed their child up for Kindergarten, please encourage them to do so!

Last of all, we are just beginning our year-end testing.  We hope you will encourage your child to do his/her best and to make sure he/she is getting enough sleep and a good breakfast!  We want our students to know that while we want them to show their best work, we do not want them stressed while testing is going on.  We will do what we can to make sure that the students feel comfortable without added pressure.  Thanks for your help with this issue!

Have a wonderful week!

Mrs. Nelson
