HELLO, BROCKBANK FAMILIES!
Happy 100th Day of School! Just 80 more days to go! We are just over half way through the
school year and what a year it has been! Our students are doing so well this year and I can't
thank our teachers, staff, and our parents for the great help and support given to our school!

VALENTINES
This year, Valentine's Day will be on Sunday, so we will be celebrating it on Friday, February
12th. Because of COVID we will be doing it a little differently. We would like your child to bring
his/her Valentines on Tuesday, February 9th. We will store them until Friday, February 12th,
when they will be passed out to the children. We hope this timeline will provide safety in
exchanging the Valentines. Please remember that if you choose to send a treat, it needs to be
store bought and individually wrapped. If students bring their Valentines on Thursday or Friday, the Valentines will need to be stored at the school until Monday, then be given out.
Your child's teacher will also be sending home detailed information for her class.

CHROMEBOOKS FOR SALE!
We have a lot of outdated Chromebooks that we would like to sell to anyone that would be
interested. These are old Chromebooks that can't support our new programs. They may not be
in the best condition, and there is no guarantee with them, but we are letting the public buy
them for $15.00. Take them as is! If you are interested, please come to the office and we will let you choose what you would like.

STRONGER FAMILIES PROJECT
UVU is sponsoring a Stronger Families Project. This is a free 8 week family life education
course that will build on your family's strengths and values. See the attachment below.

GIVE KIDS A SMILE EVENT.
Throughout the months of February – August, we will be having our Give Kids a Smile event.
Because of the limitations from COVID-19, we will be having families make appointments at
participating dental offices to receive their free dental care at different times and locations.

PLEASE, NO OTHER DRINKS THAN WATER!
AND...A FEW OTHER IMORTANT
REMINDERS!
*Please have your child only bring water in his/her water bottle. Please do not send juice, pop,
or Gatorade. Since we are eating in our classrooms, we have had quite a few spills and it is
making a mess on the carpets. Thanks!
*We are having quite a number of students that are forgetting their masks. We have masks
available, but it is costing us quite a bit to purchase them. Please make sure your child has a
clean, cloth mask each day when he/she comes to school.
*Please make sure your child has a warm coat for these cold days!

STUDENT SAFETY
Thank you, parents, for following the laws and for driving slowly and carefully when picking up
your child. I see parents slowing down and being considerate of other drivers while picking up
students.
Please also be aware of the following:
*Please do not flip a U-Turn on 300 West. In the morning or afternoon, there are too many students that are walking and crossing the streets, and too many parents driving in and out of the school grounds, that this is an unsafe practice. Please follow the laws!

*Please cross at the intersections and do not have your child cross with you in the middle of
the road. Please be an example of safety!
*If you park in the parking lot, please get out of your car and go and wait for your child so
he/she is not crossing alone in front of buses and cars.
