Hello, Brockbank Families!

We are sure excited for our Brockbank Teacher/Staff Parade tomorrow! We will begin the route at 12:30 and make our way to Palmyra, Lake Shore and Benjamin, driving through the LDS Church parking lots in those areas. Please remember that if you go to those parking lots to stay in your cars and remember social distancing. We will then come into town and zig-zag through our boundaries. Students may need to walk a little ways in order to see the parade to be able to wave to the teachers. You all should have received a map, and if not, there is one below and one on the school website! PLEASE check the routes so you will know where we will be going! We look forward to seeing our cute students! We have certainly missed them!

We will also be having teacher requests Monday, May 11th-Friday May 15th, 9:00-2:00. I believe we have exceptional teachers and I feel very strongly that if you are requesting a teacher for your child, there needs to be a specific educational reason for that request. You may either request 2 teachers of equal choice, or for your child to not be with another student. I will NOT accept emails. You must come into the office and fill out a form. We will have forms in the front entrance and a box for you to put them in.

May is Resiliency Month!

Governor Gary Herbert has declared May to be Resiliency Month! We will be sending you some information from the Governor for you to discuss with your families about resiliency. As a school, we focused on resiliency during this school year. Also, our POWER WITHIN week was to help students understand resiliency during challenging situations. We have a public service message, "Wash My Hands Challenge" from the Governor, then I'm including a little video that we watched as a school about resiliency. I hope you will take some time and go over these important messages with your child!

The Yucky Bug

This story is a great resource for you to share with your child. It is a story about what is going on in our world, told from a child's perspective. It talks about Covid 19 in children's terms and may be easy for your child to understand. Please preview it, then watch it with your child if you think it will be helpful! There are also some great resources at the end of the story.
