Hello, Brockbank Families!

One week down with "At Home Learning," and according to the Governor, just this afternoon, we will continue to have a few more weeks! Governor Herbert stated that schools will extend their dismissal through Friday, May 1st. I thought this background photo was appropriate for this Bulletin! Empty chairs that we wish were full! We miss your child and hope to have then return and fill up our classrooms and our chairs, as soon as possible!

As we continue At Home Learning, we encourage you to communicate with your child's teacher and let us know how we can support you at home. Teachers will continue to provide instruction, activities, and lessons for your child in the same manner as they have been for the past week.

I can't thank you all enough for your kind support, words of appreciation and hard work in making education a top priority. I know this is not easy and we thank you for the great things you are doing! You are truly the BEST!

I appreciate our wonderful faculty and staff for their continued love and concern for students! It has been an amazing event to watch our teachers, technicians, office staff, custodial staff, and many others work so hard to help our students keep on track with their learning! There have been many tears shed and many comments of concern for our students! Brockbank is truly the BEST!

Other Resources

Parents, please check out our Brockbank Website where you will find links to help your child with our specialty classes. There are some great ideas if you would like your child to have experiences with art, music, computers, and PE. Our librarian has also given great ideas for reading and using SORA! Please check those out!

School Meals

Brockbank is a "FREE" meal site, which means that ANY child from the age of 0-18 may stop by the school between the hours of 9:00-11:30 and pick up breakfast and lunch. CHILDREN MUST BE PRESENT IN ORDER TO GET THE MEALS.

Daily Schedule

You may want to think about a schedule for your child as we begin our At Home Learning. This will help your child continue a formal schedule as if he/she were in school. It will also help organize time for devices and internet use if you have multiple children. An example might be:

9:00-10:00-morning walk or exercise

10:00-11:00- At Home Learning

11:00-12:00-Creative time (specialty activities located on the Brockbank Web page from our specialty teachers).

12:00-12:30-lunch

12:30-1:00-chore time! Helping around the house!

1:00-2:30-Quiet time-reading, puzzles, etc.

2:30-4:00-At Home Learning

4:00-5:00-Fresh Air time-get out and breathe in some fresh air!

Of course, these are just ideas to help out at home!

SEP Conferences-Cancelled

Our SEPs are obviously cancelled, but teachers will be sending home report cards at the end of this week. This will look differently for each grade level, so watch for information from your child's teacher.

Thanks so much!

Thank you so much for all you are doing! We are here to help! We love and appreciate you and your child! Give them our BEST!
