Hello, Brockbank Families!

Today we had an assembly from the Fiesta Days Rodeo Committee! They are having a challenge for each student to meet his/her grade level reading goal! If students make the goal for the month of March, their names will be put into a drawing. The winners will win rodeo tickets, and one lucky student will win boots and a hat! We hope that each student will make the goal! We appreciate Spanish Fork City for their help in supporting our students with reading goals!

MAKE A CONNECTION

We are learning more and more that we are losing connections with our youth! With texting, social media and such, we are losing some of the face to face interactions and conversations that are so vital to the development of our children! Each week I hope to add just a small reminder to make a connection with your child! Every little connection you make with your child helps him/her build a foundation of emotional, mental, physical and social stability.

This week's connection: This week we will be having BYU come to present an assembly on being "Cougar Strong!" We are having this assembly because our students filled up the BEST wall with blue tickets! Please talk to your child about being his/her BEST and the good that can come from everyone doing his/her best! Share a time when you did your best to help out your team or group and how you felt in making a difference for the good!

Kid Power Breast Cancer Fundraiser

We are excited to announce that our wonderful school raised over $1700.00 to help fight the battle towards breast cancer! Our students brought in pennies, nickels, dimes and dollars to help find a cure for breast cancer! We appreciate Mrs. Jensen and her Kid Power Committee that have been so dedicated to this cause!

Box Tops Due Feb. 27th

We are collecting Box Tops for the final count this year! Please have your child bring them in to his/her classroom by Thursday! We are working hard to meet our school goal!

Nebo District Stakeholder Survey

Each year our district sends out a stakeholder survey to parents, students and employees. This survey helps us recognize celebrations and areas where we can improve. We hope that you will take the time to take this survey so that we can address the needs of our school. If you have a concern or question, I hope that you will come in and address it with me. It is always easier to address a concern when I can sit face to face with someone and we can resolve it together. We want the best for our students and for Brockbank to be a safe and happy place for them.

The survey will be open from Feb. 1-28.

Fee Schedule

The Nebo School District 2020-2021 school fee schedule will be reviewed in the February 12 and March 11 school board meetings in preparation for approval in the March 11 board meeting. If you would like to provide input, you can attend one of the board meetings or send your comments via the following link:

Snow Day Make-up Day

I hope you all received the district email that explained that the Snow Day we experienced, Monday, February 3rd, will be made up on Friday, March 20th. Originally March 20th was a comp day and we were not holding school, however, we will now have school that day and we will dismiss school at 2:15, as if it were an early out day, as February 3rd was supposed to be.

Pet Awareness

Parents, please help us out with our school facility! We are so glad that families come and use the fields and playground after school hours. Please just be aware that if you bring pets on the school property that you are responsible to clean up their messes. We appreciate your help with this!

Lunch Money Payments

Parents, please make sure you are current with your lunch payments. Letters and reminders are being sent out to all those families that have delinquent charges. If you have problems with paying your lunch account, please call the office so we can be of assistance to you!

Safety-PLEASE drive slowly! PLEASE do not flip U-turns as you pick your child up on 300 West. PLEASE use the crosswalks! PLEASE park in a parking stall and get out of your car and get your child. PLEASE tell others that are picking up your child where to go.

MATH LAB

We are starting up our Math Lab in the mornings, before school! We have two tutors that will be here at 8:30 to help any students that need help with math concepts, assignments, and homework. The Math Lab is in the library and all students are welcome to come!
