Hello, Brockbank Families!

We had such a special assembly today with our wonderful Veterans! It was an honor to have them at Brockbank! Our students lined the halls with flags and clapped for them as they walked to the gym! Our great 5th grade students sang a beautiful medley for them! We are so fortunate to have such special men and women that are willing to secure our freedom!

MAKE A CONNECTION

We are learning more and more that we are losing connections with our youth! With texting, social media and such, we are losing some of the face to face interactions and conversations that are so vital to the development of our children! Each week I hope to add just a small reminder to make a connection with your child! Every little connection you make with your child helps him/her build a foundation of emotional, mental, physical and social stability.

This week's connection: Share your feelings about our freedom and what our Veterans have done for us! If you have time, take your child to the different places where there are statues and tributes for our special men and women in the Armed Forces.

Valley Visioning: School Outreach Initiative

I sent out an email about Valley Visioning, which gives you the opportunity to share your feelings about future growth in our area, as well as gives our school some extra funding. PLEASE take a few minutes to fill out the survey! There is an attached flyer below!

BEST Wall Filled Up!

We are so thrilled to have our BEST bulletin board filled up with blue cards! The blue cards are cards that our staff gives out to students when they are doing things that demonstrate what the letters stand for in our mission statement; Building a community that cares, Engage in lifelong learning, Setting goals for growth and success, and Taking ownership for our actions! The word BEST is in the hallway to the lunchroom! Now that it is filled up, we will have a special activity for the students!

Safety-PLEASE drive slowly! PLEASE do not flip U-turns as you pick your child up on 300 West. PLEASE use the crosswalks! PLEASE park in a parking stall and get out of your car and get your child. PLEASE tell others that are picking up your child where to go.

We are starting up our Math Lab in the mornings, before school! We have two tutors that will be here at 8:30 to help any students that need help with math concepts, assignments, and homework. The Math Lab is in the library and all students are welcome to come!
