Bronco BEST! Rise Above the Rest!
Hello, Brockbank Families!
Welcome to 2019! I hope this year brings you much happiness with your family! This January marks my fourth year as principal at Brockbank! I want you to know what a privilege it is to be here and to work with the finest children in the world! I love our students and appreciate the hard work they do each day! You parents have a lot to be proud of! I also feel so honored to work with the greatest staff in the world! They are hardworking, devoted people that want the best for your child! I love learning from them on a daily basis! Brockbank is certainly the BEST place to be!
This month our students will be having 2 different types of reading assessments. All of our students will have a benchmark reading assessment and our students in grades 1-3 will have the DIBELS Assessment. Both of these tests will help us in monitoring the growth of your child in literacy. Please make sure you contact with your child’s teacher if your child will be absent.
SEP Conferences
Our SEP Conferences will be Thursday, January 10th. Your child will be bringing home a reminder note of your scheduled time.PTA Box Top Reward SKATE NIGHT
Mark your calendars for January 11th, from 5:00-9:00 pm, for our PTA Box Top Rewards Skate Night! Our Brockbank families are invited to a free night of skating at Classic Skating in Orem. It is free admission with add on bounce house passes for $3.00, skate rentals for $2.00, and roller blade rentals for $3.00. You may bring your own skates, roller blades or scooters. Thanks to our awesome PTA for sponsoring this fun night for our families! Hope to see you there!District Development Day
January 11th will be a District Development Day, which means that there will be no school for our students.MLK Day
Monday, January 21st, will be Martin Luther King Day. There will be no school!PTA

Parents, in the mornings at 8:30, we have two wonderful ladies that are here to tutor students in math! If you feel your child could use extra help with homework, please send him/her in the mornings to our math lab, located in the library!Unplug and Connect-How Electronics Impact the Human Brain
Parents, I want to let you know about a special presentation by Dr. Christy Kane, that will be held several times, throughout our district. Dr. Kane has done research on the neurological changes that take place in the developing brain due to the impact of electronics. I have heard Dr. Kane speak a couple of times and she is awesome! Her research is amazing and there is definitely information parents should be aware of. If you have time to go to one of these sessions, it will be well worth your time.February 4th-Payson High School-7:00pm
