Save the Kids Free Parent Education Night

All invited to the #savethekids free Parent Education Night sponsored by Nebo School District on November 5, 2018, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the auditorium at Springville High audirorium at 1205 East 900 South in Springville, Utah.

Collin Kartchner and Dr. Katey McPherson will lead a discussion on:

  • Balancing screen time and device use,
  • Protecting and cultivating our children's self worth,
  • Devising a sensible family use of device plan.

Brockbank Fifth Grade Students Meet Spanish Fork Police Department's K9 Dog

Tuesday, October 16 , Brockbank fifth-graders had the opportunity to meet Spanish Fork Police Department's K9 dog "Maverick" and his trainer/handler Officer Bret Smith. Students got to see some of the things Maverick is trained to do in helping in drug detection and apprehension of criminals. Officer Clint Peterson who teaches D.A.R.E. to the fifth-graders wore a padded suit so students could see some of Maverick's training. The students really enjoyed having Officer Smith come and speak to them and to see Maverick. 

Brockbank Student Council Members Attend Conference at BYU

Monday, October 15 , seventeen sixth-grade student officers had the opportunity to attend the Student Council Conference at BYU. Students heard from various presenters such as John Bytheway, Mike Cottam, Berne Larsen, Brad Barton, and Meg Johnson who have all had a variety of leadership experiences to draw from and are experienced youth motivational speakers.

Brockbank PTA Hosts Family Event to Kick Off Book Fair

Brockbank Elementary held a "Family Event" (formerly Dads & Donuts) on Wednesday, October 17 to kick off the book fair.. The students, along with their dads, moms, grandparents, or other special family members came and were able to  browse for books through the book fair and then enjoy a donut and milk in the cafeteria. Brockbank students and faculty would like to thank the PTA for sponsoring this fun morning. The book fair will run the following week Oct. 22- 25 before school and after school and all evening Thursday night during SEP conferences.

Brockbank Second Grade Students Attend Play at Scera Center of the Arts

October 15, second grade students went on a field trip to the Scera Center of the Arts and watched the play "How I Became a Pirate". Students enjoyed the play and learned about how fun adventures can be, but also learned that love and home are treasures you can’t find on any map! 

Brockbank Fourth Grade Students Visit This is The Place Heritage Park

Brockbank fourth-graders went on a field trip to, This Is The Place Heritage Park. There students were able to take part in a ‘hands-on learning’ experience that complements the state curriculum for fourth-grade Utah History. Students participated in "life in Pioneer Times" which consisted of pushing a handcart. The students discovered what it was like to come West with a handcart.

Book Fair Coming Soon!

Brockbank is excited about our upcoming Book Fair which will kick off Wednesday, October 17 with our "Family Event" (formerly Dad's & Donuts)! Make sure to bring your dad, mom, grandpa, grandma or any special family member on Wednesday morning from 7:30-8:45 AM to browse through the book fair and enjoy a donut and milk.  The book fair will run the following week October 22-25 before school and after school and all evening Thursday night during SEP conferences. The book fair will close Thursday evening.

Hello, Brockbank Families!

This week is a busy one!  We have some fun things going on!  We had our BFF lesson today on DETERMINATION!  We hope our students learned the importance of being determined in accomplishing their goals!
