Brockbank Elementary celebrated Halloween by having their annual parade around the school. Students showed off their costumes to parents, grandparents, and other students. Also to help celebrate room parents came to the school and hosted some fun holiday activities, and brought yummy treats to the classrooms
Fourth grade students in Mrs. Amberly Kariuki's class made self-inflating ghost balloons by putting vinegar in the water bottles. Then the kids drew a ghost face on their balloon and put a little bit of baking soda in it. When everyone was ready, they slipped the end of the balloon over the top of the water bottle and emptied the baking soda into the vinegar The instant reaction of the mixture inflated the balloons. The kids loved it!
Red Ribbon Week continues with students wearing boots. The theme for the day was "Give Drugs the Boot!" Members from Spanish Fork High School's FFA and Rodeo teams came during lunch recess to teach students how to rope. Students enjoying interacting with the high school students.
