Brockbank Staff Spotlight!

Mrs. Ashton Eccles teaches third grade at Brockbank. She and her husband live in Orem. Ashton likes college football (watching her favorite team the Georgia Bulldogs), Harry Potter, running, and watching netflix marathons with her husband. Some of her favorites are the color - hot pink, Reisens, Haribo Gummy Bears, mashed potatoes, musical group - Maroon 5, all Harry Potter books, movie - "Legally Blonde", and eating at Happy Sumo and Zupas. Ashton's favorite vacation destination is to go to New York City!

Brockbank Fifth-Graders Perform at Zion Bank's Lights on Ceremony

Brockbank fourth, fifth, and sixth grade students in their art class made ornaments for Zion Bank's Christmas Tree. Mrs. Brenda Dudley, art and music teacher, worked with the students on the decorations and the songs that were performed for the "Lights on Ceremony". December 2 a group of fifth graders along with Mrs. Brenda Dudley walked to Zion's Bank to decorate the tree and then December 3, fifth grade students were invited to sing at the bank. Students did a great job with the singing and the ornaments for the tree! 

Brockbank Fifth-Graders Graduate from D.A.R.E.

Friday, December 5, Brockbank fifth-grade students having completed their Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) training taught by Officer Bryan DeWitt of the Spanish Fork Police Department graduated. Officer DeWitt taught the students several lessons on drugs and ways to avoid drug use. He stressed the influences that drugs can have and the potential dangers. As part of the D.A.R.E. requirements, students were encouraged to write an essay on what they have learned.

Museum on the Move Visits Brockbank Fourth Grades

Recently the Museum on the Move, part of the Natural History Museum of Utah, visited the fourth grade classrooms at Brockbank. The students got to be real scientists as they learned about Utah animals by exploring real artifacts such as fossils, feathers, and preserved animals and insects. They had a great time observing and sharing their discoveries!

Mr. Gregory Hunt is a third grade teacher at Brockbank. He and his wife live in Springville and have twin daughters. Greg's interests are music, guitar, reading, cooking, baby feeding, and steak. Some of his favorites are the color - grey, gummies, Mt. Dew, singer/songwriter Ben Folds, movie, "Sherlock Holmes", the book, "To Kill a Mockingbird" by Harper Lee, tennis, and eating at Joe Bandidos. Greg's favorite vacation destination is California! Something that he said no one knows about him is that he can lick his elbow. (It is supposed to be physically impossible).

Brockbank Kindergarten Students Enjoy Thanksgiving Feast

Tuesday, November 25, 2014, Brockbank kindergarten students celebrated Thanksgiving by having their annual Thanksgiving Feast. Each student had a specific job to do to help put the meal together so they would learn the importance of working together. The students really enjoyed eating a meal that they helped to make!

Brockbank Second Graders Give Ideas on How to Cook a Turkey
