Brockbank First Graders Have Fun Learning About "AR" Words!

Brockbank first graders read the book, "Pirate Mark" and listened for all the AR sounds in the story. They made pirate hats and wore eye patches. In the story MARk loved chocolate bARs so do first graders so the students went on a treasure hunt around the school looking for AR clues to find the treasure. AAARGH what cute little pirates they ARe!

Brockbank Students Learn How to Play Indoor Tennis!

Brockbank's after school tennis just completed for the year and was a great success! Brockbank's Speech Teacher, Mrs. Susan Johnson helped to start and supervise the after school tennis program. Her with the help of volunteers taught students the fundamentals of playing indoor tennis. Brockbank was able to have indoor tennis with the help of the United States Tennis Association who generously donated junior size nets, foam balls, and rackets. Two sessions were held after school, the first session was for the older grades 4-6 and the younger grades 1-3 recently finished.

Kindergarteners Perform Program for Parents!

On Friday, April 27, kindergarten students at Brockbank Elementary entertained their parents and grandparents with a fun program. They showed them what they have learned this year by each student memorizing a small speaking part and by singing songs. The students worked really hard practicing and performing this program and all of them did a great job!
